NordCham 'Women in Business Committee' Launch

NordCham hosted the Launch of the ‘NordCham Women in Business Committee’ on May 4th, 2023, hosted by SKF. The event commenced with networking other over coffee and breakfast. 
Opening remarks were given by Pak Toto Suharto, SKF’s President Director, H.E. Marina Berg, Sweden’s Ambassador to Indonesia, followed by H.E. Pekka Kaihilahti, Finland’s Ambassador to Indonesia. 

The Executive Director of NordCham, Mr. Magnus Ramstad Dahl, talked about the background for the ‘Women in Business’ committee, empowering women and promoting gender equality, and proceeded to split the attendees into groups for them to share their ideas on what the committee should be doing to represent members interests. Many  ideas were shared that underlined the need for a committee representing women in the Nordic business community. This included ideas on mentoring and support for women, community service, education, knowledge sharing and empowerment etc. 

The event was a success with high level participation from women across different sectors.
